Farewell, 007

alas, we’ve lost Sean Connery
The Man Who Would be Bond
epitome of bravery
he was well-brained and brawned

by trading on his handsome looks
he’d bed a bonny lass
and then he’d go and vanquish crooks
and do it with such class

when Bond would chase bad guys with zeal
Goldfinger… Dr No…
it wasn’t long before we’d feel
the thrills and humour grow

though die-hard fans are shaken now
and memories are stirred
he’ll have us all saying holy cow
long after he’s interred
